To Our AME Family and Friends: There aren't enough words to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the outpouring of love extended to us during the passing of our loved one, the Reverend James E. Jenerette. Your cards, flowers, prayers, and phone calls helped sustain us through a difficult period in our lives as we try to adapt to the reality of Rev. Jenerette's transition. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we continue to work in God's vineyard without him. We pray God's richest blessings for each of you and are grateful for your love and prayers. Continue to be blessed! Sincerely, Mrs. Joyce W. Jenerette and Family

All glory is to our Lord and Savior for you, our friends who have shared your love in the time of Mother’s transition. You have helped to ease our pain with your expressions of thoughtfulness, kindness and sympathy. You will never be forgotten. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:5) In our bereavement, we are living proof that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal and are forever thankful to God for the 91 years and 8 months that He loaned to us one of His strong devoted faithful Christian servant who loved Him, the AME Church, her family and all creation. We are eternally grateful to you for your prayers, flowers, cards, letters, e-mails, text messages, time, phone calls, kind words, visits and even if you just thought about us during this time. May God richly bless and keep you, may He make His countenance to shine upon you, and may He be gracious to you. There are no words to adequately express the kind expressions of love and sympathy in the sudden passing of our mother. As her daughter and pastor, I can say that the expressions were a testament to the live that she lived. It was not unusual for her to say, "May the life I live speak for me." From the children of Mother Lucille Crawford.

Mrs. Easley, I thank you and Bishop Guidry for your words of solace and comfort. I know my father was well loved by so many and while my heart is heavy with loss, it also bursts with joy to know and I really do know, how his life was such a positive impact on so many people. His great works speak for him and I am so grateful that he was and remains the vessel that was used for so much in his time here. I truly appreciate the outpouring of love and support me and my family have received from friends, from far and near and old and new. But Jesus is the best friend and I and we will make it through this time.
