Congratulations to the Reverend Dr. Johnathan C. Augustine, Senior Pastor of St. Joseph AME Church (Durham, NC), on being appointed by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper to the Andrea Harris Social, Economic, Environmental, and Health Equity Task Force. Governor Cooper established the Harris Task Force, by executive order, to address obvious racial and ethnic disparities in North Carolina that have become more pronounced and apparent because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Augustine will serve as a member of the task force's Environmental Justice Committee. Governor Cooper's announcement can be seen here: The Task Force's first meeting will be August 5th

*Congratulations to Reverend Dr. Katurah York Cooper, Pastor of Empowerment Temple AME Church, Liberia West Africa

A major blessing has come to Rev. Dr. Katurah York Cooper, Pastor of Empowerment Temple AME Church in Liberia, West Africa, Fourteenth Episcopal District, Founder of Helping Our People Excel (HOPE Inc.) who serves as the national co-leader of Global Leadership Summit, Liberia. Her work in leadership development is being recognized. Dr. York-Cooper will be sharing her "Grander Vision" story at this year's summit and her book is being featured among the GLS 2020 Faculty (Speakers) Resources.

This year's faculty include President George W. Bush, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Pastor Craig Groeschel, Motivational Speaker Nona Jones, and others. The Summit is Virtual, and registration is available.
