*50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration, Retired Presiding Elder Benjamin Ridley and Dorothy Ellis Ridley, President Sixth Episcopal District Minister`s Spouses, Widows, Widowers Organization Plus Pk`s
Benjamin and Dorothy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 7, 2020 at 5:00pm.
The celebration was hosted by their four beloved children Dexter, Jackie, Simonia and Benjamin. The very special occasion and magnificent evening started with the renewing of the vows and much love filled the room.
It was officiated by Bishop Stafford W. Wicker of the Eighteenth Episcopal District in the absence of the Bishop Reginald Thomas Jackson, Presiding Prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District.
The highlight of the occasion was seeing the grandchildren Benjamin and Niya walk in with the tuxedo and dress that were worn by the Ridley`s 50 years ago.
The space was beautifully decorated, the guests were served delicious food, family and friends danced to classic music. The family made a generous donation to the venue, the Historic Tubman Museum in downtown Macon, Georgia.

40th Anniversary of Ordination as an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church
Heartiest congratulations to The Reverend Dr. Barrington S. Lawrence, on the 40th Anniversary of his Ordination as an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was ordained an Itinerant Elder on Sunday, March 9, 1980 by Bishop Frederick Hilborn Talbot. The ordination was done at Nazareth AME Church, (Trinidad) Windward Islands Annual Conference, Sixteenth Episcopal District.
After serving as Pastor for several years in the Jamaica Conference, Sixteenth Episcopal District, Dr. Lawrence was appointed a Presiding Elder of the Jamaica Conference in April 2004 by Bishop William Phillips DeVeaux, Sr. Dr. Lawrence is currently the Pastor of Morris Brown African Methodist Episcopal Church, New York Conference, First Episcopal District, where Bishop Gregory G. M. Ingram is Presiding Prelate.
